East Clayton Farm (Alternative Provision)

East Clayton, a 120 acre farm set in the South Downs National Park offers alternative provision for young people primarily at risk from permanent school exclusion. Through land based activities (and the magical power of our donkeys!) we help rebuild self confidence, self esteem and self belief with the ultimate aim of supporting our young beneficiaries back into mainstream education.

We offer a supportive yet adaptive environment to encourage all our visitors an opportunity to shine and grow.

What we do:

Our young people work alongside a team of 6 donkeys, building lasting relationships that encourage responsibility and behaviour management. Costs are tailored to need but generally range from £15 - £120 per session
Our sessions generally run for 6 weeks, 1 day per week, from 10am - 2pm. However every young person is different and we pride ourselves on ensuring that we tailor our provision to meet their individual needs. Just get in touch to discuss
Our young people undertake donkey walking, grooming, stable and field management, small animal care and conservation. The Farm offers a secure, informal and relaxed setting designed to ensure they feel at home and are part of our Farm community.
Our staff and support team are very experienced (and qualified) in working alongside vulnerable young people, encouraging them to get the most out of any given situation in a non academic setting.
Our young people are referred from a range of organisations including primary and secondary schools, Social Services, Occupational Therapists, Children and Family Services, Youth Offending, Inclusion teams and many more
