West Sussex Community Mental Health Liaison Service
Service
The West Sussex Community Mental Health Liaison Service (CMHL) offers support to professionals working with children and young people. CMHL provide in-depth consultations to professionals where there are concerns related to a young person's emotional health needs, and mild to moderate mental health presentations.
What we do:
- Parents can also be invited to these consultations which aim to support an exploration of any emotional health issues presented and consider a mental health formulation.
- Consultees will also be provided with recommendations and strategies to help young people in addressing the emotional concerns they are facing.
- CMHL will also support in signposting to other relevant agencies and NHS services as appropriate.
- The service can be accessed via the West Sussex Single Point of Access, where a consultation can be requested as a desired outcome of a referral. https://www.sussexcamhs.nhs.uk/our-services/service-finder/west-sussex-single-point-advice-spoa
- The CMHL team can be contacted directly for general queries and signposting at: [email protected] And via the professionals' Access line 0300 304 0304 which operates 9-5pm weekdays only
Our users say:
It was helpful to have a meaningful conversation with the mental health team. It gave me some ideas and the confidence to be able to support the child and their family.
