Local Offer Peer Review with Surrey County Council. Session organised by Mott MacDonald:

"All in all, we feel that this is a good attempt to deliver a Local Offer within the extensive legislative requirements:

    • Reasonably well presented site reflecting its maturity – it seems to have had a consistent approach to development

    • Most areas of information would appear to be covered

    • The site demonstrates a good approach to the Local Offer; it seems to have prioritised quality over quantity, but this has led to a relatively small number of services

    • As the ‘shop window’ on the SEND system, it gives the impression of a well joined up, coherent underlying SEND system

    • We felt that the way of finding information and services was rather ‘linear’ with a slightly negative impact on usability."

Local Offer released a program of Webinars 2017 - feedback:

    • "Your first Webinar today was very successful. I have already shared my experience with my organisation and passed on the downloaded copy of the Webinar. I am unsure yet where to find the recording of the Webinar on your web site but when found I will signpost this to customers. I have already emailed the link to your web site to a parent. I look forward to future Webinars from you."

    • "This is a great way to disseminate information. I much prefer this than having to go somewhere to find this kind of stuff out.Thank you for taking the time to do it!"

    • "CDC's and SENCO's are not signposting to the LO to parent careers. Plus GP's. What can be done across the county to signpost people to its great selection of services and support?"

    • "Great webinar though and easy to use."

    • "Personally I Knew the majority of the content - But would of been helpful for parents etc."

    • "Would be better for it to be interactive so you can browse through the website yourself."

"I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting and getting to know the other Local Offer Ambassadors over dinner at Strada. I'm so pleased to be a Local Offer Ambassador, as the Local Offer provides a wealth of information on services and events for families who have children or young adults with additional needs." "The EHCP Annual Review information is almost impossible to find. I have spent a long time looking.... and given up a couple of times. In short, it is buried and needs to have a clearer independent heading. Thanks.

Great improvements generally since I last visited the site. Well done and thank you." Feedback left via the feedback function

"Thankyou for the training session last week, it was very helpful, I am very impressed and am keen to help other families develop their understanding of the LO. If I discover that there are several families who might attend a training session at either of the two schools I relate to, would you like to run sessions there, or do you want me to try to promote?"
