Upper Beeding Primary School
Service
We are a Maintained Community Primary School that serves the village of Upper Beeding. We are an inclusive school and in July 2015 achieved Outstanding by Ofsted in all categories. We are a happy, friendly school and are always delighted to welcome visitors and show them around. Our broad and balanced curriculum is innovative, creative and fun. It is taught through exciting projects underpinned by our learning values, excellent Arts provision and outstanding pastoral care.
What we do:
- We value a quality and effective home/ school partnership. The ongoing dialogue between children, parents/carers and school staff ensures that children and families are well supported and their needs are met.
- We provide a strong creative curriculum where children make excellent progress and enjoy their learning experiences.
- Inclusion: Valuing each of our pupils as an individual learner is a key part of our practice. We aim to offer the best possible learning experience to all children, regardless of additional needs.
- Staff are well trained to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs including: Speech, Language and Communication; Physical Development (Jump Ahead) and Basic Skills Development.
- We recognise the importance of early intervention to identify special needs. We have strong and supportive links with outside professionals including: Speech Therapists, Play Counsellor, Occupational Therapists and Family Link Workers.
Our users say:
