The Capitol re-opened in September 2003 after a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of the previous Horsham Arts Centre. It comprises of a 410 seat Theatre, 2 Cinema Screens, Studio Theatre, Meeting Room and Gallery Space. All areas are fully accessible from the ground floor level, with lift facilities for disabled users. The Theatre, Cinemas and Studio are equipped with infra-red transmission systems for the hard of hearing.

What we do:

You can book online, by phone or in person. Telephone lines and the box office are both open Monday to Saturday 9.45am - 7pm, Sundays and Bank Holidays from 4.15pm or 30 minutes prior to the first event of the day (whichever is earliest) until 7pm.
Specialist Film Days include Box Office Babies (where parents can bring their babies and are free to move around the cinema when needed) and Autism Friendly screenings (Blue Oasis Film Club) with lights on, low sound and no trailers and Movie Mondays
You can also enjoy Live Screenings from the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Shakespeare Company streamed directly from London to our screens at The Capitol.

Capitol Café is ideal for a freshly ground coffee and as a meeting space throughout the day. The climate-controlled space serves light snacks and lunches. The Lounge Bar is the ideal comfort zone for after work and pre-show drinks.
