Epilepsy

Young Epilepsy is a national charity offering to share the expertise that exists here at Young Epilepsy with professionals, families and individuals across the UK. Our services vary from a private, confidential helpline which is open Mon-Fri 9am to 1pm to providing support by offering training in epilepsy awareness including Autism, ADHD, learning & behaviour. Our Epilepsy Friendly scheme, Transition and Connect Projects can provide support for individuals and families.

A guide to managing epilepsy in autism Autistica have produced a short guide to help autistic people and their families to better understand epilepsy in autism, reduce their risks and know where to go for help.

My Health Guide by Maldaba (NHS England endorsed)) - Helps Adolescents and Adults manage every aspect of their health and wellbeing. For example: Upload videos showing how you need your wheelchair set up. Store pictures of how you’d like you hair cut to share with your hairdresser. Keep a food and meal diary to help you lose weight or keep you weight in line. Store details of all your medication. Record events (such as your seizures) and share them with your health professionals. Help new carers understand how to care for you.
